About Me

My husband Andy and I have been campground hosts at the Big Creek Campground in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a total of eleven months (as of the end of 2016). This has been such an awesome experience that I want to share it with everyone with any interest at all in the Smokies or national parks in general. When most people go to a national park, they enjoy the beauty, the flora and fauna, and the peacefulness. What most don't see are all that is going on in the park every day. I am converting my logs into a book to share the experience. The title, at present, is "Big Creek - A Closer Look at a National Park". 2016 is the 100th anniversary of our national parks and I hope to share our story with park enthusiasts everywhere.
